If you want a place that makes you feel like family come here. It is a smaller restaurant and fills up fast at times. It has Japanese/Korean/American cuisine. The dinners come with a wonderfully flavored Miso soup that is simple but delicious. They were training new cooks but the food was great. I loved their macaroni salad. The service was great and friendly.
Best fried rice I've ever tasted! Must've been an extra good batch. The complexity of tastes was a sensational overload. The Korean chicken was very crispy and sweet and there was plenty for me to eat. The waitress was very nice. The place could definitely use some interior designing. Very great experience for my first visit.
I was impressed by low prices for such excellent food. The atmosphere is open and comfortable. The service was prompt and pleasant despite it being pretty busy.
Wonderful wait staff and delicious authentic Korean and Japanese food. I enjoyed the tea, miso, and vegetable plate that came with my meal. The shredded papaya was a treat. Large portions and the price was fair for how much food we got. Definitely recommend for comfort food dinner.
So....I've passed this place for years and somehow never eaten here, and finally we did. I am a huge fan of places that serve kimchi fried rice...it's one of my favorite things to eat. You have to love kimchi to like it... keep that in mind. This one was solid, but I was really surprised about the teriyaki chicken...honestly it was one of the best I've eaten in Hilo town. I highly recommend this dish if you like the rice, but if not, the chicken was yummy, can't go wrong with that! My husband ordered the mochiko chicken. The plate sizes are way bigger than we expected, so it makes the price seem reasonable. I couldn't stop eating his lol!!! It was super crispy and moist on the inside....I definitely couldn't make it like this at home! So we both recommend the mochiko chicken. Honestly, I can't wait to go back...the menu is huge! JAPANESE AND KOREAN and some American things for people who would rather have that. Go check it out. Do keep in mind this is a local place, not fast food... so have patience with the servers and know it's worth the wait if you go in during a rush time when it's full.
Popular spot after 8p on Saturday. Prompt service and good selection of Japanese and Korean food. Everyone was happy!
Stopped in for a bite. Not too busy. Sat down right away and ordered Katsudon and some appetizers. Food came out quick enough. Sooo tasty! Enjoyed it very much. Decent portions. If I'm in the area again I will definatley stop by!
Walked in to a cheerful atmosphere, service was fast and friendly, great amount of food for the price, we were on our honeymoon and they gave us ice cream for free. Ice cream made from a local shop. 100% would go back, best food in our 4 days here
